Salute The NHS is being delivered by Yodel

British businessman, Ron Dennis CBE, has launched Salute The NHS, a major not-for-profit initiative aiming to feed thousands of dedicated NHS workers with high-quality meals and booster snacks months.

We are thrilled to partner with the initiative to deliver these packages directly to the frontline, enabling NHS workers to focus on saving lives and fighting the COVID-19 virus.

We are now in the seventh week of delivering on behalf of Salute The NHS, and have so far delivered over 260,000 meals to 35 hospitals across the country.

The initiative has brought together a team of leading food specialists, and has mobilised an enormous operation working extensively on a pro bono basis. The goal is to serve 1 million meals to key NHS workers, to both those working in hospitals and others who have been forced to self-isolate at home.

The Dennis family has donated over £1 million of seed funding to the initiative through their DreamChasing Foundation. It has been supported by Absolute Taste, one of Britain’s largest catering groups with its state-of-the-art kitchen in Bicester, Oxfordshire, with logistic support is being provided by ourselves.

SalutetheNHS.org began delivering the free meals in April, starting at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and then onto more hospitals, including Great Ormond Street, the London children’s hospital, and from there the programme rolled out to Government targeted locations across the country.

The meals comprise of a series of ‘Boost Packs’ intended for critical frontline NHS staff to eat either during their shift or to take home at the end of a long day. There are also Home Packs, which are being delivered to vital NHS frontline staff who are infected and self-isolating at home.
